Norfolk Bridal Show in Delhi

    The Bridal Lounge will be at the Norfolk Bridal Show this year. I love doing these shows because it's such a great opportunity to actually meet people one on one, in person. The computer is great but I love talking with couples in real life! Anyone getting married, or not, please come down and say hi! The show is Sunday September 11th from 12-4pm  at the Belgian Club in Delhi Ontario. There will be a fashion show and lots of give aways including a free engagement session from yours truly. Oxford Summer Arts Festival

Calgary Stampede and the Kananaski mountains

Howdy y'all! We just got back from one of the most incredible trips ever. I decided not to take my camera because I was afraid of anything happening to it while doing all the events planned. I regretted it immediately. We did rodeo, horseback riding in the Kananaski mountains, flyfishing and even had a brush with royalty. I ran into Steven Harper at a Starbucks around the corner from our hotel. Thanks to The Lone Star Texas Grill ( best fajitas EVER!!)  I came home a little bit cowgirl! These are a few I took off my iphone, sorry for the crappy quality.

We waited at the parade hoping to get a glimps of William and Kate as they were opening the Stampede parade. We laughed so hard when they went flying by us at 50 km in a secured car. Oh well, she waved, and I am certain it was to me :)

The crazy cowboys at the rodeo. These guys are tough and brave and it literally took my breath away everytime one of those gates flew open. 

Everyone must put horseback riding in the mountains on their bucket list. It was spiritual!

About to attempt fly fishing for the first time. I was really, really bad at it but it was fun. We didn't catch anything but an amazing view and a few rays!

day of caring

Last week at the girls school they had a 'day of caring'. I received an e-mail from Principal Luce asking me to follow the kids around and shoot the various activities as they happened throughout the day. The kids did everything! They made breakfast for volunteers, wrote letters to soldiers, made get well cards for patients in hospital, played games with elderly residents of a local nursing home and the list goes on and on. I was extremely moved by the entire day. I saw with my eyes the kids being exposed to different generations, careers, quality of life and appreciation. The highlight of the day was watching the entire school start the day with a yoga class with Sabra from the Yoga Shack in London. After all, it is just as important to care for yourself as is for each other. Namaste.
