relay for life- ingersoll ontario

We've all been touched by cancer. Every single one of us! The relay for life was here in Ingersoll on Friday, and even though I had 2 weddings this weekend and couldn't go in it this year, I went down to show the girls what it was all about. My amazing friend Laurie and my brave, little friend Ava donated their hair for the cause. Here's a few from the evening!

day of caring

Last week at the girls school they had a 'day of caring'. I received an e-mail from Principal Luce asking me to follow the kids around and shoot the various activities as they happened throughout the day. The kids did everything! They made breakfast for volunteers, wrote letters to soldiers, made get well cards for patients in hospital, played games with elderly residents of a local nursing home and the list goes on and on. I was extremely moved by the entire day. I saw with my eyes the kids being exposed to different generations, careers, quality of life and appreciation. The highlight of the day was watching the entire school start the day with a yoga class with Sabra from the Yoga Shack in London. After all, it is just as important to care for yourself as is for each other. Namaste.
